Keep the ones worth keeping.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Saved takes:<\/strong> replay them any time, with or without the backing track.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Save as a practice:<\/strong> store the whole setup under a name and reuse it later \u2014 it syncs across your devices, and your practice time counts toward your goal and streak.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preview the backing:<\/strong> tap play next to the backing volume to balance the mix before you record anything.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Click &amp; chords:<\/strong> switch the <strong>metronome<\/strong> on to hear the beat while you record, and if the song has been analyzed the loop&#8217;s chords scroll past with a playhead.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Microphone access<\/strong> is required \u2014 allow it the first time you start, or later in the iOS Settings app.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Manage your takes:<\/strong> rename or delete any take from the <strong>\u2022\u2022\u2022<\/strong> menu beside it.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Takes stay on this device:<\/strong> recordings are stored locally, not in iCloud \u2014 the practice setup syncs, the audio doesn&#8217;t.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Audio routing &amp; latency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Microphone:<\/strong> pick any connected input \u2014 built-in, wired, or an audio interface. On the built-in mic you can also choose front or back. Play a few notes and watch the level meter.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>What you hear:<\/strong> the card shows the current output and its delay in milliseconds. iOS decides the output, but you can force the built-in <strong>Speaker<\/strong> with the toggle.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Calibrate:<\/strong> on wireless output (Bluetooth or AirPlay) the reported delay is often inaccurate, so tap <strong>Calibrate\u2026<\/strong> and tap along with the metronome once. It&#8217;s unavailable while a count-in, recording or playback is running.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Change output:<\/strong> tap the <strong>AirPlay<\/strong> button on the card. During a count-in or recording, the AirPlay button and the <strong>Speaker<\/strong> toggle are unavailable \u2014 switching output mid-take would throw the timing off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In a practice queue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A saved play-along practice can be added to a <strong>practice queue<\/strong>, so it runs in order with your other practices \u2014 the queue header shows the song and the practice name, and you step to the next item right from the recording screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-base-2-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-27be8982 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-radius:12px;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udca1 <strong>Tip:<\/strong> Use <strong>headphones<\/strong>.
