Control your own songs from the Lock Screen, Control Center and your headphones.
- While a song is open, your own songs appear on the Lock Screen and in Control Center with the loop name, artist and cover.
- Play / pause from there, or with a tap on your headphones or AirPods.
- The 15-second buttons skip back and forward, just like the Bluetooth pedal — inside the loop while one is running. Drag the position slider to move within the song; your headphones’ previous-track gesture jumps back to the start of the loop.
- Apple Music songs use the system’s own player controls.
These controls pause while the Mixer or Practice is open, so a stray headphone tap can’t interrupt an exercise. When your own song starts playing, audio from other apps stops, as with any music player.
💡 Tip: Want another app, like Spotify, to keep playing while you loop? Turn on Play with other apps in Settings. Lock Screen and headphone controls are then unavailable.
Choose where the sound plays
- Tap the AirPlay button to send the sound to the speaker, headphones, or a Bluetooth or AirPlay device — playback keeps going.
- You’ll find it next to the song title, on every practice screen, in the Mixer, and on the metronome.
- During a play-along count-in or recording it’s dimmed, so a switch can’t throw the timing off.
